Internships for Credit

 

Global Warming Campaign: Help lobby members of Congress • mobilize people to talk to elected officials about global warming • engaging the media • build coalitions • educate the public about global warming

Baltimore County and Eastern Shore Connections Project: Mobilize people to talk to their elected officials about the Chesapeake Bay, global warming, and protecting farms and forests • lead on-the-ground regional outreach efforts • help facilitate alliance of local environmental and community groups • assist in event production

Communications: Increase the effectiveness and impact of our websites and new media (facebook, twitter, etc.) • maintain and update website content • assist in online advocacy (or environmental issues) campaigns • coordinate the expansion and quality of email action networks • monitor press reports and engage media.

Political & Legislative Campaigns: Assist with holding legislators accountable through MDLCV Scorecard • research and writing • keep correspondence with elected officials • help lobby members of the General Assembly

  • * Interns will work primarily from remote locations. 
  • * Some meetings in our Annapolis office will be required.
  • * Qualified applicants should have an interest in the environment, advocacy or politics.
  • * Interns will periodically help with event planning and fundraising activities.
  •  * Course credit possible.
