Green Drinks is an international movement to create informal networking events for environmentally-minded people. Started in London in 1990, Green Drinks has since spread to cities around the world.

Green Drinks Annapolis was established by Annapolis Green in 2006, gathering environmental advocates and curious local residents together on a regular basis to “learn one new thing and meet one new person.” For nearly two decades, Annapolis Green consistently drew an average of 100 attendees to local venues for environmental gatherings, supporting small businesses in the process. Over the years, event themes ranged from reduction of plastic use to native plants to the positive environmental impact of electric vehicles. When Annapolis Green closed in December 2024, it left a hole in the community; the absence of Green Drinks and the opportunities for conversation and camaraderie it provided were felt deeply.

In November 2025, Maryland LCV Education Fund took over the helm of Green Drinks Annapolis. We are honored to be the next host organization and carry on the spirit of Annapolis Green. Annapolis Green recognized the importance of in-person gatherings to build community around environmental issues, and that is the heart of our organizational vision of a healthy environment for everyone in Maryland. Through Green Drinks Annapolis, we aim to start conversations that will spark inspiration and bring Maryland’s environmental movement together in a joyful way.
